Here's the version I used:
tiger [1]% rpm -qa | grep abi
abisuite-0.7.13-2GNOME
tiger [2]%
I had the same problem with rh 7.0, but here's how to fix it:
add the following line to the catalogue line(s) in:
tiger [8]% vi /etc/X11/fs/config
---
# where to look for fonts
#
catalogue = /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc:unscaled,
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi:unscaled,
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi:unscaled,
... (extra lines here)
/usr/share/fonts/KOI8-R/75dpi,
/usr/share/AbiSuite/fonts
---
Then do:
/etc/rc.d/init.d/xfs stop
/etc/rc.d/init.d/xfs start
(or kill -HUP xfs PID should do).
I was then able to load abiword wo/ the message about the fonts.
It seems that the rpm install should needs to update the fonts catalogue path
too.
